First the all I want say thank to my groups of members especially Miss Azean, Miss Asma, Che Pah, Miss Maya and Miss Yati. I was honoured to be a group members with yours. Also thank to our supervisor Pn Norawani (Kak Wani) always gift useful information and great guardian for our project. Thank you very much. If I can back the time, I want be group with yours again and again. (sebab boleh menang hamper banyak-banyak kali, ha ha ha!!!).

Currently, prebiotics functional food was high demand in market and from 2005 to 2010 market of prebiotics functional food growth 11% annually. We from Byourlin group produce and develop prebiotics yoghurt from plain yoghurt adds value with inulin extract from Musa x paradisiacal (banana), Morinda ctirifolia (noni), Anona muricata (sour sop) and Beta vugaris (beet root).
What is Prebiotics?
A prebiotic was defined as a "non-digestible food ingredient that beneficially affects the host by selectively stimulating the growth and activity of one and a limited number of bacteria in the colon, and thus improves host health.
Why Inulin is Used?
Inulin a highly effective prebiotics. Inulin passses through the stomach and duodenum undigested and highly available to the gut microfloral. This contrasts with proprietary probiotic formulations based on yogurt in with which the bacteria have to survive very challenging conditions through the gastrointestinal tract before they are able to coloniza the gut. Inulin also are for fat replacement and fiber enrichment.
What is Health Benefits of Inulin?
may help increase Ca, Mg, Fe and P absorption
may improve fat metabolism
may improve function of the gastrointestinal tract (soluble dietary fiber)
may reduce both serum, hepatic cholesterol and triglycerides.
since inulin has a mildly sweet taste doesn't affect blood sugar level (recommended for diabetics)
